Default Permanet vs Iirsh broadband

hi there i am currently with permanet broadband i am on the slieve mish mast in kerry. i have the biz 2mb package. in fairness permanets service has been good i usally get 1.44 down and 480 up all day and i get ping of around 30ms on irishisptest.com and maby 35-40ms at peak times. i do a good bit of online gaming on ps3 mainly call of duty 4 and there is not much lag at all. i was thinking of getting irish boadband because they give much higher speeds for around the same price. i was wondering if there ping times would be as low as permanet and if i would get the speed i pay for. i was thinking of getting the breeze 3mb package which sounds much better than what i am getting at the moment. also do irish broadband trottle downloads or limit p2p traffic ar anything like that.

Default Ibb

if your getting a good service from your broadband company I wouild stay with them I had 3mb breeze up in dublin with Ibb and at start it was ok then went down hill and I had to go to another company. so its up to yourself but I wouldn't reccommend them if they were the last providers on this planet. Have a look what I have to say about IBB.

Hi. I am currently with permanet broadband also in kerry. I have the biz 2mb package. Permanet's service has been good i usually get 1.4 down and 480 up all day but when 5-6pm comes....bang! it's very very bad. Last night was getting max speeds of 211kbps down. It's like this for weeks now. Have you considered KBB like myself?

211 down is fairly bad aright. what mast are you on is it the slieve mish. i have not contacted kbb because i have herd that they block p2p traffic. is this true?. also does anyone know if ibb trottle downloads if you download too much even though there is no download cap. the only reason i want to change companies is because i want higher speeds and permanet is too expensive if you go any higher.

I can tell you that my experience with IBB in Dublin was horrendous. The contention at the time was 20:1 on a 2Mbit connection and they meant it. I got a 1/20th share of the connection between 4pm and 12pm roughly. 90Kbs was usual.

The 2Mbit advertisement is only a carrot in front of the donkey. It's a bit like a 1p flight from Ryanair that costs €100.

Default IBB Block p2p

O look let me guess another IBB staff member telling us that we dont have a clue but sorry its you who do not have a clue the biggest mistake I ever made was getting IBB and they throttled the bollox out of my connection so dont ****ing tell me that they dont block p2p connection. And dont make comments you dont have a clue about I ran into another IBB staff member a couple of months ago telling me the same ad he also was full of ****. So keep your smart comment to your self.
