Thumbs down Tracking Customers?

I meant to post about this last week, but I forgot...

I arrived home from work last Friday evening to find a letter from Irish Broadband waiting for me.

To start with they had completely misspelt my name. Not one typo, but two!

Considering we cancelled all services with them shortly after they were installed it just shows how "current" and "well maintained" their CRM is!

The letter itself is quite amusing:
"Please be advised we are currently experiencing issues with the Carlow area"

Currently?

"You may therefore be suffering either a full loss or a degraded internet service..."

Don't they think I'd have noticed if that was the case ?

"this is due to unprecedented demand within your area"

That sentence is worthy of analysis.

They only went live in the last couple of months, so there could be no precedent.
The service was terrible from day one, which is why we cancelled it.

And if I was still a client of theirs a letter addressed to me with my name spelt incorrectly etc., would probably lead me to switch provider anyway.

they really are the worst company i have ever dealt with..the best bit is, the cork office is sending an engineer out to do my de-install whilst the dublin office supervisor is telling me they are not going to cancel my contract

they dont even know what one section of the company is doing vs the other.
