Default IBB A Waste Of Bandwidth

Hi Guys,

Many thanks to anyone who manages read this through to the end. First a little on my background and cray situation. I am living in the Drumcondra area. Beside Quinns Pub (A reference point im sure you will all know) so far I have done the following to get broadband.

1) IBB Line of Sight for Breeze :FAILED
2) Digiweb Line of Sight : FAILED
3) Got a phone line installed : FAILED my exchange not compatible yet
4) NTL : Unable to offer in my area yet
5) IBB Ripwave : My current situation

To roll it all into one.

.Took 6 weeks to get the Ripwave unit.
.Dispatched me 3 Ripwave units when they finally managed to send one?????
.IBB have double charged me on 4 occasions.
.Up to 26 30-45minute phone calls to helpline.
.12 HelpDesk calls logged.
.Never managed a connection over 36Kbs.
.Closed my account but 2 months later got a notice for not making a payement????
. Never bothered pick up the 3 modems
.Currently connecting to the BTS29 for free with 45Kbs connection.

Guys!!! What on earth is going on here...Its 2006 not 1066. I just cant figure out how to get Broadband....I may be able get free WiFi from Jurys beside Crokar but would need a nice Antenna. Any idea? Other than that its a Vodafone 3G/GPRS card and PCI adapter with unlimited usage package...All seems a bit crazy. Even Dial-up would be great only Eircom say they need a hoist to fix my connection...Waiting 7 weeks on that!!!!!!

Well if they are giving free access it should be ok to use it so. If you like I can set you up with an external antenna & router to connect to it. pm me if your interested. Podge
