I've been using IBB for about 5 months (Swords area). Haven't had a problem yet. The tests on this site never show me as capable of 2Mb down / up but when I run my own tests (torrents) I'm able to get the max out of the link so I'm happy.

I've read on other forums that the 2Mb users are to be upgraded to 3Mb in the coming weeks. That wasn't posted by an IBB person so it may or may not be true but if it is then cool.

It's true. I phoned them a couple of days ago. All 2Mb users are to be upgraded to 3Mb "in the next couple of weeks".

Right it's time to say goodbye to IBB. Not because they are crap. I'm moving to Naas in two weeks. It looks like I'm gonna get the 6mb chorus line.

I'm honestly going to miss the capfree, static ip, no wires service.

I was talking to one of the sales team though and he told me that they have something special in store for the naas area after xmas.
Probably sales B.S.

I've been with IBB for about 3 years now, i've got the 4meg VL stuff (breezenet). Its always good, always able to handle downloads and low pings in games at the same time, i think its great, i connect off SIAC

I also use NTL cable service and had Errorcom adsl for a while, i still have the ntl 3 meg which is quite good, but i prefare ibb to em all.

hi m8 ,i have breeze 4mb, ,i have had just a little niggle problem, when im playin cod 2 online, i some times ping out ( connection interrupted), it,s really annoying, cause u have to start over again with no points!"
i have complained to ibb about this but they dont see a problem!
other than that its a very good connection
p.s i asked for 3mb, they dont do it any more so i got 4mb for same price as 3!

Some times the "connection timed out" is the hosts fault, not your own. Keep an eye on your ping rates when your playing a game and compare it the others. Try and play with hosts in Europe and they will always be faster than those from the States.

Just for the record, here are my speeds in Kildare from Leinster Broadband:

Default moved on

Well I've moved on and i'm with chorus now.

What a joke. When it was first installed I was getting speeds lower than dial up. After about ten phone calls to choros the speed increased and i'm now getting about 2mb down .4 up.
For a 6mb line I find this hard to accept.

I'll post pics later.

Default crapwire

Hey guys
I've had crapwire for about a month now i live in Carlow.
all this P2P blocking and slow speeds is pissing me off TBH.
so i called their support today.
talked to this guy there and we tried to see if we can get this problem sorted out.. he tested and changed settings and so on.. nothing helped. speeds are less then 1mb with the 2mb package.
he said phone in a few days and we'll cancel the service with no cancelation fee since it's them that can't stand up to their part.
he suggested a website for ISP's and i found out that IBB looks like it's a BETTER choice for me since they don't block P2P and up/down is 3mb... even if i get 2 or 1.5 both ways i'm still happy...
just want to see what you guys think about IBB recently in Carlow since i don't know what to think no more.. read about all of the providers and DIGIWEB is NOT an option since unlike IBB they got only BAD comments...
let me know if i should go ahead and switch to IBB cuz i'm not staying with CRAPWIRE any longer.
thanks.... PM me or email me either way
