Default New dsl broadband packages from ibb

I've just changed to ibb from digiweb with ibb new dsl packages, unlimited usage instead of digiweb's policy of bringing fowarded the excess amount used. rang up digiweb today to see if the would do the same as ibb but no way would they change. maybe when they lose all their customers they might change their policy.

Hi carig1

Do you know if IBB are reselling the Eircon Bitstream package like Digiweb, BT and others do?

Please let us know how the new IBB dsl performs. I'm with BT and am getting a bit p***ed off with the degradation of the service over the last couple of months.

I'd love to change to an isp that gives what they promise but am reluctant to just jump for the sake of it especially if the newer isp only resells Bitstream.

Howfast

Default IBB DSL - Truly Unlimited dl and no contention ratio issues.

With IBB DSL for 4 months now. Working great.

Total Cost is 52 a month with VAT for their 3MPS DSL.

I get dedicated 2.5mbps downloads and truly unlimited. I have not got more than 2.5 (but I think that's the eircom line limitation) I would consider going for the 2bmps since you will get full 2mbps. I 've had no contention issues (i.e. line slowing down due to multiple users). I truly have dl +-30 - 60 GB per months - no problems.

How do I know that I get 2.5mbps - I have used newsgroups and dl tons of stuff and it never dipped below 2.5mbps even running it for 3-4 days straight.

Only catch is 6 months contract - no issue for me though.

So they really don't hound you if they think you are using too much bandwith?

Thanks Carig1,
I think I might give them a go, the rolling junk on digiweb is beyond annoying, plus they are having some server hop issues for me and pretend they aren't!
