Imagine WiMax Service - Irish ISP Test - Broadband Forum

Hey,

Has anyone heard anything about Imagine's new BB service WiMax?

I stumbled accross their website and saw that the service is to go live at a few places around Dublin on 19 October. imagine WiMax | Next generation phone and broadband with free line rental

The site gives very little details of what is involved, speeds or costs. Has anyone any more info on this service? I would be interested in changing BB provider but have had very bad experiences with wireless BB in the past.

Just googled 'Wimax ?' and found this... Seems Wimax might be OK in some areas but not others.

"On a non-subsidised basis, it is currently priced and positioned as a broadband option only for businesses or wealthy consumers,"
