Default Hello All

Just to say hello to all on this forum. I had been using the Speed test for a while to keep an eye on my Wireless speeds. Thought I would look at the forum and was impressed with the lively debate and content, so thought I would join also. I use Premier Broadband ( also known as Alpha Wave ). I live in Cashel, Tipp and been on the service for about 18 months since its inception. Premier has had its ups and downs, since coming on air. I work as a Freelance Photographer for press and the like and rely on having a reasonable upload speed to send pics in. I was not totally happy with the speed and interuptions to the service from Premier. However, I am glad I hung on , as after a change of Node and IP, I now have a great improvement in service. Previously it had been almost as bad as a Dial up service and very un reliable. However now, ( with some fluxtuations ), my upload speed can be in the region of 1.5 MB and download near to 3 sometimes. As with any Wireless technology, the thing will not be 100 % bullet Proof, but I can say that I would recommend Premier BB - Alpha Wave to others looking for Wireless Broadband. They are based in Waterford and linked to Clonmel and the coverage , certainly in the Co Tipp Area is very competative. Reading teh comments on Ice ' I am relieved that I did not go for that one.. !!
Thanks for reading..

Andy - Cashel.
