Hi wonderwanton

Those speeds are more like what you'd expect on 2Mbps.

However, there are many factors to consider such as how far are you from the local exchange, is there any noise on your phoneline, do you use an extension or is the modem connected to the main phone socket to mention just a few.

Connect the modem to the main phone socket first to rule out any wiring problems in your house. If this cures the problem then your best bet is to get a wireless modem.

ADSL is distance dependent product i.e the further away form the exchange then the lower maximum speed you can get irrespective of the rated speed. If you are not too far from the exchange and connecting to the main phone socket doesn't help then try logging a line fault with Eircon.

Tell Eircon there is noise on the line when making voice calls, don't mention BB problems or they'll just try to blame everything else first.

Oh, of course don't forget Imagine Technical support, that's what your paying them for.
