Default IBB Coverage

I heard last year KBB were proposing more sites to enable additional users in rural areas, specifically near the wind farm in north kerry. Any developments on this?

I am not familar with this part of the country but I do know there are HS's located on Mish and Tullig might be more even use broadband.gov.ie .

Do KBB resell for say IBB, Clearwire or Digiweb? If so I am geussing they would the best to enquire for a service from all of the above as usually these HS's will be shared be by mulitple wireless ISP's so it just depends on who already have a presence in your area and if there are still enough free space to offer you a service as wireless ISP's can only provide a certain amount of individual connection's per HS before the HS throughput is maxed out, after that usually the HS will be closed for new sales.

To find out who may be building new HS in your area you can do 2 things 1) call them maybe they will know or they could tag you as a potential customer or 2) check the ISP's website and check their news section as it may give you aclue for say annoucements of investents as these investment's are always ployed into expanding network infrastructure and consequently the $ubscriber base of said ISP.

Hi Tanglewood,

We do have some new high sites in Killorglin, Annascaul, Knocknagoshel/Lyra, Knockanore, Fenit with Dingle and Brandon following shortly. We do not resell any service from any other operator as we have our own backhaul circuits directly to the fibre MAN in Cork.

If there is any location in particular you are interested in then let us know and we will try to address it for you.

Regards
