Default Magnet Problems

Lo guys are any of you having issues with magnet ?

i am with them for over a year and have had nothing but problems with them i started out on there 8mb package with tv changing from eircom for this after been told by there sales team that my line was able to take this full package (hahahaha) SALES WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOU IN THE DOOR

Right away i had problems my tv kept hanging not getting stations and so on plus my broadband keep droping

So rang up there tech support were i was told my line couldnt handle tv and broadband (SO WHY WAS I TOLD IT COULD ? )

To resolve this i aggreed to lose the tv in order to get my 8mb down and 1mb up.

Problem solved right ? WRONG now ever since then i have never been able to get a steady connection or steady speeds

The have sent enginners out to me twice to check my in house which there was no problem with. i have spoke to there tech support mangers many times and still no resolve

Now they tell me that the problem is with the eircom exchange i am on and that they have loged the fault with eircom but eircom wont do anything about it and that i should contact eircom about it which i did and was told that it was down to magnet to log the fault and get it sorted for me (really pissed off now )

So i have contacted comreg who are no acting on my behalf with magnet but have told me theres not really much they can do as broadband is not regulated ??? i thought it was.

were does one go from here i dont want wireless and id rather not go back to eircom .

hi KarlHaren
I had alot of problems similar to you Didnt have the tv package though.
poor speeds , never got over 1mb. paying for 4 mb. alot of problems with the phone. went on for about a month and a half, one of their level 2 techs Richie sorted it. (he was recommended through a forum). getting close to 5mb. download and nearly 1mb upload 95% of the time now.
might be worth a try at least for your speed.
John
