Magnet Problems

I was a smart customer who moved to magnet this week.. Jesus are they retarded!?!! they sent me out a router with a 2 pin plug so I had to go out and get an adapter (as none was provided).. I hook everything up to find out that im getting less than 1mb .. I signed up for the 4mb package!! what poor service that is.

I rang support this evening (as i have to work all day!) , expecting a call back RE: my ticket that was logged by a call center monkey (seems they had no techs available).

I have read a few bad reports over at IrishISPtest (after i signed up) .. Anyone else having problems with them?

Hi I have had a nightmare with magnet since switching. it took a week to get my broadband sorted. had around 1 meg download, kept annoying them and they eventually sorted it, must say that it is very good now and never drops the line. The phone on the other hand is a nightmare, around 50% of the time if you ring you will get on to someone else in the country. It is going on 2 weeks now and they still haven't fixed it, would question their technical skill set. will let you know if situation improves, would sugest not paying bill and threaten with national radio, seems to make them work a bit better

I switched to magnet recently i get about 3.5mbps down and around 1mbps up.
cant complain guess u were just unlucky there.When i had my first landline installed(a couple of years ago) i had a similar problem with wrong connection when making callsexcept it was working both ways.i got somebody elses calls and 2 different people sometimes got mine.
I got my number changed and never got the answer to why or how it came about.Another great benefit of eircom. Contact magnet and ask them can they assign u a new number. If you're constantly loosing the DSL connection ask MAGNET if they can check the integrity of your line and remember DSL does vary with distance from your nearest exchange
