Default Coverage Requests in Co. Cork

Hi all,

Dave here from Nova Networks. As I was saying in the thread Nova 2007, we do business connectivity nationally, but our residential wireless network is based in Co. Cork.

Since everyone on this forum is interested in all things broadband, I thought it would be a good idea if we have a thread where users can post coverage requests for their areas. It will give us an idea of good areas to develop into. Also, as a wireless provider, there are always little niches (villages, estates, hillsides) that need coverage and the only real way to hear about them is to be told by those living there.

So, come on, get posting!

Dave

Two that I got recent complaints about being left in broadband limbo are Kilworth and Whitechurch...

I knew I remembered that you had an East Cork connection....

We're not doing Saleen, but check out Eastcork.net for a wireless connection.

We're developing two sites in Cloyne next.... (If anyone from Cloyne is listening, see products on our website: Nova Networks).

We're developing 6 new sites at the moment. Busy!!!!
Dave

Thanks for the tip!

My family live in East Cork

My mother's in Midleton, so she's got plenty of choices, but my sister's location isn't that well served as yet

Default ? does anybody provide broadband in Chloroe area

hello Dave,
Have just been on to your office. Told that for your service you have to be within sight of the airport. Is'nt that the same as a few other providers? Eircom came to me this week and after many hours gave up ( they had emailed me to say i could get their service ) I now have the dreadful 3 service ( they keep telling me that it is about to improve- they usually say it will take 48 hours- I have waited a lot of multiples of 48 hours so far )
I live less than 10 miles from the centre of Cork city. Is there any provider you know of who serve this area ( Coolatanavalley )

Default Coverage

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies so far. Just to be clear, you need line of sight to one of our many transmitters to get the service, but we have loads of options (not just the airport). Having said that not everywhere is covered, but we're very busy expanding the coverage. We do have the advantage over 3 in that if we do cover you, it is true broadband.

Dave
