Default Do you feel my pain?

Hello,

I've been online since 1998, so i think i can say i'm fairly advanced net user.
When it all begain i was on dialup with esat, they then joined with bt and
that became esat bt, all was well even on dialup i remember been happy
to be online and learn my new world of web development. They speeded
things up then and rolled out fone line dsl, not bad, was faster so all good.
I had to move away from home a few years back and had esat bt hook my
new place up befor ei moved in fully, so i had the same dsl fone line setup
done at that address, all was well for the first year then things messed up.

So then i searched around and ended up switching to digiweb lol
Stayed with them for a year or so i forget, asked eircom
how long would it take to switch from digi to eircom as i needed the net
for my work, they said ten days so i signed up and kept digiweb going as
you would, untill eircom had me sorted.
Rang eircom several times before and after the ten days asking if they
knew anything about bt releasing the ports that digiweb said was needed
to be free how the hell.. i dunno, eircom release all the ports etc?
Anyway.. eircomthen toold me there was no record of my application to
have any broadband service setup, so i was stuck with a fone line and
no dsl or anything for about maybe 4 to 6 weeks, i had to use an old
dialup cd to install esatbt's dial up crap and ran that for about two hours
a day hoping bt bt would release some ports so eircom who owns all the
damn ports, could set up their service for me bs.

They charged me 800 for that time, only few weeks back i got a solicitors letter
from eircom telling me to pay 89 euro, 800 euros for taking the piss,
i had no way out of that tryed everything, online clame, hackjack test through eircom
some crap about testing to see if someone had hijacked my phone line and kept
it on 24/7 and built me up an 800 euro bill, thats the largest bill i've ever seen, B*****ds

In the end i got digiweb to hook me up after eircom released whatever to them.

I've since got rid of the phone-line and had ntl send their guys
round to hook up the cable broadband....
I've done several speed tests over the past year, i've rang them about it
and technical support had me do their own speed tests.
I can't ever say i get over 3 meg speed, i'm on a 6meg package with ntl.
They did nothing when i rang them and they never ring back when they say the will.

The fact that everything is faster is overwhelming to some, but the point
is that when you're paying for somethign and not getting half the service
that is advertised, considering how big the company is, what do you do?

Is there one decent irish company that are offering proper wireless?
A top quality service that everybody can afford, everybody can connect to.

I've tested other people's internet speed and configurations on all of the
4 or 5 companies i've been with over the past few years or so, and i can
say i've never been amazed about any of their services.
Some people have better systems etc, but still the whole opperation is ****e!

Dose anybody fell my pain?
I'm happy to be able to get online and post my thoughts.
But that's not all i paid for.
