Default broadband usage??

I recently rang the upc customer support concerning is there any way on there site can I could access my Usage details and was told I could not but was told by a very nice person, who was very truthful no bending the facts she knew what she was talking about that I could ring upc on 1908 and they would tell me my usage which is good if you have more then one computer otherwise use bitmeter. The first time I rang I got somebody who must have been in a bad mood all she kept on telling me when I asked about the limit go to the term and conditions well just to say there is no limit written in the term and conditions. The fact is that the have on a 10 meg (No Cap ) why not just put down you have a 250gig limit in stead of bull****ing customers who think you taking the piss 250gigs is a good amount for what you pay for but I think the faster your connection the higher the limit should be.

Default Broadband usage

Hi Topcat, I very much doubt that you will be allowed to access the UPC database to check your own usage. Use a utility on your machine to do the job for you. Read here:
How to: Measure your Broadband Consumption - www.wi-fiplanet.com

Broadband Download Monitor - track downloads to your PC using our free software

Download Bandwidth Tools - page 1 - sorted by last update descending - Softpedia

Google "broadband usage measurement" [with the quotes] and you may find a freebie.
Cheers,

Before you run off any more smart comments why don't you ring and find out unless I was talking to my self when I made that phone call to upc were I was told I could check anytime I wanted just had to ask.

Rudeness has no place on this forum. My response was intended to be helpful and were definitely not not "smart comments"!

You posted.." is there any way on there site can I could access my Usage details and was told I could not".

My response was that 'direct access' was probably not on and to provide a couple of sites where you can download a DIY broadband usage tool that would monitor your usage 24/7 and save you those phone calls to UPC.

If you had read my second comment I found out from upc that I could not get my usage from my account but I could get what I wanted by ringing them and asking them (I very much doubt that you will be allowed to access the UPC database to check your own usage) This is why you got the smart arse comment you said I was not telling the truth.

"you said I was not telling the truth."?

You should read my post again. No way could it be construed that you were not telling the truth, implied or otherwise. What I said was that I doubted that UPC would allow anyone to access their database (access being done online) in order to check usage. If you don't mind making the phone calls to find out, that's fine.

We should get past that **** what you said what I said . I contacted upc customer support and got this back as part of an e-mail (We do not offer any tool for customers to monitor the usage at present but we are currently working on one that will be made available on our website) So lets hope what ever they put on there site will show exactly and not something you have to run your self.
