NTL Waterford Broadband speed

Broadband speed from NTL in Waterford is terrible during the day. Working from home impossible. Advised them of problem 3 weeks ago- no improvement.

No problem for NTL to bill for service.

Time to go to Eircom.

I would keep after NTL. If you read the Speed treads on this forum you will see that all the ISP's suffer from speed problems.

Yesterday I was speaking to others at a meeting and all without exception have had problems with speeds.

Only one has had any success either with TS or changing Routers.

The speed during the week from 180 till late is a joke... Weekends the same. Very poor service. Ping to boards.ie 04.11.06 23:30 ~200ms, packet lost every few seconds. 6mbit connection. I`m just wondering how magnet works in Waterford, contention ratio 1:1 sounds very impressive. Can sb say few words about this provider ?

Speeed improved recently to 2954kbps from 413kbps seven fold increase!!

This sentence is like from my head-the same problem and the same time.just one difference-I cancelled the direct debit from my bank account
After order phone line from eircom and next step is go to smarttelecom.
