Default BB Net - Opinions (Tournafulla 2)

Was thinking about swapping from Permanet to BBNet, does anyone use the above transmitter or have any general opinion on them?

Did read the other thread but it is a little dated.

Ta.

I use bbnet in Tulla co. clare. It's generally reasonably good. But sometimes speeds can be very slow, ie 56k modem speeds. This happens at irregular intervals, (like right now, which is why I find myself on this forum). My neighbour who also has it, reckons it could be weather dependant, as it's a wireless signal generated nearby, and recieved by a receiver on the chimney, I'm not so sure.
Prices start at €40 a month, which compared to wired packages is very expensive, but when you live in the stix like me, you have no option.

The transmitter I am on at the mo is 20km away from me, straight line. Weather has never affected it, so I dont think that would be the issue.

Fortunately it seems my long standing issue with permanet may have been resolved, will give it another week.
