Default Location of Irish ISP Test?

Clearwire Broadband is the name of my internet provider. 2.25Mb down. 290-300Kbps up. Those are the numbers I get on this site. However on a U.K. site, ADSLguide (http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp), my results are considerably higher. 2.55Mb downstream and 390-400Kbps up. I would have thought the opposite would have been the case. What do you reckon? give it a shot yourself

yep im gettin similar results on that adsl site. might be somethin to do with the distance the test has to travel before coming back to you. you could be goin half way round the U.K. and Ireland before eventually returning for all you know. Whats the address of Clearwire Broadband anyway? Sounds pretty decent if your getting higher bandwidth than they say you should be gettin. a rarity.

A lot depends on their routing

If your provider and the test you use are "close" to each other you may get better results than you do here.

Yeah thats always the way with the wireless broadband.
Your location in in relation to the source is key. Two guys
there from rathmines, one delighted and the other feeling
pretty miserable about the same internet provider.
The wireless either suits you or it doesnt. Im one of the
lucky ones in that Im practicly on top of the clearwire ariel. :P
