Default Fastnet Broadband

Fastnet Broadband have now acquired ildana broadband. Customers of ildana who would have been very frustrated by the lack of service provided were hopeful of improved service on this news.

Thing is since Fastnet have taken over the service is now Worse. I am back in isdn land again as the broadband (Ventry, Co Kerry) works only intermittently and when it does, not as advertised. The direct debits from my bank account seem to work fine though.

Calls to Fastnet get answered by a very nice lady who promises someone will call me back. No one ever does...

Default Ildana v Fastnet

Looks like that there is no difference between them except that
Ildana has gone belly-up. I also talked to the nice lady in Fastnet and
was told to mail them with my problem. The way our Satellite connection works i probably use An Post's terrestrial service for my problem descriptions...probably faster and more reliable...

They surely able to collect money and supply you with nothing...

It would seem that Fastnet were a bit previous in announcing their acquisition of ildana to it's customers and requesting new signup forms etc

It turns out that the deal did not proceed and ildana is still in the liquidation process. If you sent your direct debit forms etc to Fastnet the advice from the liquidator is to cancel same. They are in talks with another company but right now it's back to square one.

According to the liquidator, ildana customers will receive a mail very shortly outlining the new arrangement.
