No experience with regionalbroadband themselves, but am on a rural fixed wireless scheme down here in Gorey and it's so so. Quite patchy at times (depending on weather conditions, line of site and state of mast). Am paying for a 2Mb SDSL package but am not getting a constant service to be honest. At times connectivity is non existent, at others it fantastic with download speeds in excess of 3Mb and uploads in excess of 1.8Mb (<-- that's what you get with "community run" projects). For last 6 days download speeds have been as bad as 33kbps. Wired broadband is now rolled down here, so am considering the likes of Cinergi, or alternatively PermaNet for fixed wireless.

So Ive signed up for the basic Business package, big surprise their perception of speed and contention ratio's are a little different fom mine. I expected faster in brief. Be cautious to anyone else considering regional, I'll give it another week and see how it fairs for me.
