Default ntl-woefull for gaming?

im on ntl and iv been gaming for the last couple of months online, solely on pro evo soccer 5, and unitll the last couple of weeks i had no real problems with lag, but now th thing has gone haywire, every game i play there is at least some lag, most of the time its unbearable. basically when im hosting in the second half there is truck loads of lag, but absolutley none in the first? what the hell is going on. ntl say its because their broadband isn't ideal for gaming, hence all the lag. which is crap cos there was no problem with it untill recently. i also noticed when speaking to their tech team that i wasnt recieving my full meg download which i had subsribed to, i.e. 2meggs, upgraded to 3 aswell and the speed is still ****. and i game on the ps2, somebody help......

I don't do a lot of gaming but best of luck getting NTL to anything with it.
I'm on the same package and have been on for about 5 months and up until the Friday before last it was rock solid, was getting 2.9Meg on the speed test from Blacknight. Now I'm getting regularly anywhere between 130 and 190Kb....absolutely staggeringly bad. Broadband? Who are they kidding.
Downloading files from most sites runs around 4-5kB which I'd get from a standard 56kb modem and I'm paying for this rubbish??!?!??!?!?!?

When I got onto NTL they claim the Blacknight site is not suitable for testing and that it misleads me and the speeds are fine, it's not their network they say it's the rest of the internet that's slow. They say it's the times I use it. I've checked at all hours of day and night on any day of the week and its the same crap. Before it was the same 2.9Mb every day at any time.

They've obviously done something somewhere and have either been told not to admit anything or the skivvies on the support desk haven't been told.

It's ridiculous, how do they expect to retain business, I'll be off them as soon as my 12months are up.....but from what I hear they're all as bad.
