Will Permanet Respond?

So, with the announcement by Eircom to move up to 12Mb in some parts and at least 7Mb, almost everywhere, coupled with BT's January announcement of 8Mb, will Permanet take note and lower the price of the higher packages and maybe even provide faster than 4Mb connections?

I am in a location where there are many, many (happy) Permanet users, but the local exchange is now enabled. I can't justify paying 42 euro a month to Permanet for a 2Mb connections when the same dollar will get me 7Mb by end of June.

Anyone else in the same situation?
