Default Hardware Vendors

Who do you normally buy hardware from?

Who would you recommend?

I normally order my hardware online at komplett.ie
Ive had no problems with anything so far and theres
a good range of items available there too.

At this stage almost every part of my system has
come from them.

Who would you recommend yourself?

It depends what I'm buying and who I am buying it for

Komplett can be good for some things, whereas computerbits carries others. Wireless kit is good from Ethos

Generally I find komplett to be a tad cheaper than computerbits.
With the type of items I buy anyway. Sure you might as well
save a few bob if you can.

Next on my list is a new motherboard.

I just got a new laptop from Dell and have ordered a shiny new digital camera from some lot in France (I think!)
Komplett was about 30 euro more expensive for the camera and as neither company is Irish I just went with the cheaper option.

Computerbits are very good for some things and I was very impressed with the speed of their responses etc., so I definitely wouldn't discount them when shopping around.

What kind of motherboard are you looking for?

Well it has to be compatible with the AMD 64 processor as
im getting that too.(lots of saving to do!)
Would like it to have both AGP and PCI Express slots so Ill
have options graphics wise in the future. Ive a ASUS board
at the moment and I might stick with that make if I can.

I bought a Kodak digital camera earlier this year and its the
best buy Ive made in ages. Its just so useful. Film cameras
are a thing of the past. For me anyway. The only bad thing
Id say is that you need a bucket full of batteries with you if
your going out for the day to take pictures.

Depends on the camera and the type of battery it uses.

My camera takes the AA batteries. I bought a battery charger the
other day but it cost forty quid. I had no idea they were that much.
But I love the camera and use it a lot so the charger will be worth
it in the long run.
