Smart broadband

Just got my bill for this month and a leaflet with it say from 15 Dec to 15 Jan their speed will be upgraded to 6mb free of charge. I guess with the next bill we can expect an offer to upgrade to 6mb for ever.

I got Smart Broadband but I still kept my NTL broadband as the smart BB was down a good few times the first 2 months and my NTL in 4 years has only been down twice.

Well, I'd be happy to pay to upgrade to 6Mb permanently - it's very useful!

I must say that Smart were only down once for about 40mins since I got connected in mid-June '05. (I'm serving off Beggar's Bush exchange in Ballsbridge).

Thank heavens my contrach with Smart runs out in June and I kept my NTL connection. I'm supposed to have a 2mb connection and all my tests over the last few days show 1mb or less on Smart, what a load of bull, my NTL has always been on or over 2.94mb from my 3mb connection and I'm looking forward to an increase over the next few weeks which should be 10mb following their upgrade in the UK and like in the UK NTL have already droped the price.

Interesting, mine has dropped as well. What part of the country are you in?
