Default Smart to cut 100 jobs

According to reports today Smart Telecom is to axe 100 jobs:
Smart Telecom is to cut up to 100 jobs, a third of its workforce, in an attempt to save its broadband business.
Newspaper reports on Friday morning indicate that this reduction in staff numbers is the first phase of a proposed rescue plan following a review of the business undertaken by NCB Corporate Finance. It is thought that the company's sales staff will bear the brunt of the job losses.

I think that before you pass comment on why they are letting jobs gets the facts straight. Please spare a thought for the people who lost their jobs on friday and in some cases maybe not get employment again.

Broadband is rolled out in phases and your exchange is not live yet. Thats is why you are still waiting for one year and 9 months, and your exchange is not live yet and you will be updated when it is.

I was sorry to hear about the job loses,it's not good news to hear of any job loses anywhere.
