Default Need help with router setup "aolynk dr814"

Hello all i'm new to this fourm,I had bb with eircom and now smart and i use Soulseek p2p but i'm having problems browsing some peoples files its due to the modem setup i think,cause i had the same problem with eircom and the netopia modem but it had a section where you coukd click to add software to allow traffic with no problems "expections" think it was called,I can browse some people but not all,any help would be grateful

I presume you mean Port Forwarding. There are detailed instructions on how exactly to do this in the Broadband Forum of www.boards.ie and also on Smart Telecom's new support site. You could also try disabling both "Intrusion Detection" and "Firewall" on the modem as these wreak havoc with many common programmes (MSN being one) and can also cause the modem to hang on a regular basis.
