Is anyone getting 3Mbps since upgrade?

New poster. The question is in the title. I've gone from about 1.6 to 2.6 with Utv ClicksilverPlus but nothing near 3Mbps. Would like to know if anyone is getting 3M from any of the providers - Eircom, EsatBT or Utv?

Just to give some extra info for plp who wants to switch over to UTV.
The 2Mbps connection goes from 1.2 to 1.7.
Gonna give them a call and find out more.

If your getting 2.6mbps when your supposed to be getting 3mbps your within the acceptable range of service from your isp

Hi All,
I've been in touch with UTV Technical Support.
They said that if my connection goes from 1.2 mbps to 1.5 mbps that it is within an acceptable range, which I argued that if I knew that was gonna be closer to 1 meg than 2 meg I would have signed up for 1 paying less.
I have asked then what is not within an acceptable range so that they can take further action an open an incident and the answer was: It has to go below 1 meg, like 800mbps.
For you guys having a 3Mbps your average will be 2.6 Mbps. You might get eventuallly somewhere close to 2.7 or 2.8 depending on how many plp is sharing your connection, but it can also go into lower ranges like 2.2 or 2.3.

UTV doesn't provide alternate DNS for fater connection so it does't help.

The only chance that we've got is hoping that the exchange in your are gets upgraded soon or that the company decides to upgrade you as a marketing strategy which they will not notify.

Hoping that everyone gets a better pic of whats a UTV connection like.

Tested this evening after having EIRCOM fix a problem ( no BB past 2 weeks) as it looked as if everything was happening very quickly. 2.6Mbps down ~379Kbps up based on the test here.
Nutley exchange, D4, about 1.5 miles from my door ( if that matters?)

i have eircom 3 meg broadband and wen i do a speed test i get 2.6meg down and .29meg up.But when i download from download.com or any other good website i get 3.6meg 360kb/s and somtimes even 400kb/s.an had very few problems with them.

Just changed from EsatBt 3Mg to ntl top package. what a difference !!! just checked speed 6.59Mg down and 498Kb upload. :

My connection was constant around 2.5 for the past year - all of a sudden it has gone below 0.5!!! Sometimes it comes back buts its getting to be a pain.
