Default UTV Internet

Hi there, I was just wondering how things are lately with UTV Internet?
I am thinking of joining but because they have a 12 month contract I need people's opinions first before taking the risk.
I live in Northern Ireland myself so a local provider would be a plus.
How reliable is the service? what are ping times like?
Cheers.

Was using UTV until recently.
Ping times are decent; BUT there is a problem where they keep dropping the line. This is a consistant problem if you have a certain modem from them with a certain setting configured - I had to find this one out on my own..
The tech support will claim it's problems on your own PC; the talking clock; the pizza in the fridge - anything BUT what the real problem is. I reccon either their tech support staff are trained chimpanzee's OR don't know their *** from their elbow.

But besides their tech support; if you are a bit technically aware, they have a good solid broadband service; and their other customer services usually is at an acceptable level (broken line, bad connection at the exchange, etc usually are dealt with rapidly).
