Default Best Headset for VOIP

Working on the basis that you are going to use a service similar to Skype ie. software based, what kind of headset would you recommend?

I'm currently using a simple Plantronics headset with builtin microphone, as they seem to be a popular choice. However they aren't very robust and the wires have become quite loose, which has led to a very "interesting" audio effect.

Any recommendations?

Im using a fairly simple PCline headset also with built in mic.
I use it for gaming purposes but the sound quality is generally
very good. There is about a half a second delay but thats
something you could live with. When gaming we all get together
on Teamspeak. Its excellent and great craic.

PC line are the budget of all budget pc equipment. If you want a decent set look at the top brands:
