Default Do you have a wireless network in your house / office ?

I've had a wireless network at home for the last year and half and it has made life a lot more pleasant.
I don't miss the cables trailing all over the floor one single bit

Neither do I. Its great. I used to have wires going through the walls but now its just one cabe from the modem to the wireless router. 3 PCs off that.

Have you implemented any security on the wireless router?

I have the routers firewall enabled and it also blocks any annonymous requests. it seems to be working well. What sort of setup have you got?

Have wireless myself. Had to buy a seperate router as the standard one I got with Digiweb doesn't wireless connectivity. Took me a while to configure, learnt as I went along, because (nothing new in this!) the setup cd did not work properly! Have security setup by way of a 128 bit encription key, works like a dream!

yes, use a dlink di634M. Comes with statefull firewall, also have WPA2 enabled with AES. My dhcp server is also only configured to hand out IP's to my client's MAC addresses for added security, also broadcast SSID is disabled - think this should be a must for everyone!

I have all Belkin equipment for my wireless network around the house, which stretches from my media centre rig here in the kitchen to a desktop in the entertainments room, 2 computers in the loft conversion for my twin daughters and 2 computers in my oldest and youngest daughters' bedrooms. Also got some laptops hooked in.

I use a Belkin F5D7633_UK4A ADSL 2+ all-in-one modem and Belkin F5D7051 USB 125mbit High Speed wireless USB adapters. Reception in all rooms is more or less top speed on 125mbit setting.

I set one of my brothers up with my older Linksys WAG54G modem and adapters, which did their job and continues to do the job for my brother's network. Certainly beats the heck out of a load of Cat5e running around the house!

Regards all...
Tom
