Default wireless connection on 1mb bt bb

hi everybody 2 questions

1. I am getting anything between 750 and 850 on the speed test with 1mb bt broadband is that the best I should expect and why can I not get a full 1mb?

2. Broadband seems to slow or does not exist when my laptop is not plugged in?

To question one: these speeds are perfectly normal and acceptable when using 1mb broadband. You're never going to get the full 1mb speed.

To question two: Do you mean when your laptop is not plugged into the power point or plugged in to the modem? If you mean the powerpoint perhaps your power conservation settings are set too high. If it's the modem can you give us the make and model.
